Henri Herbert and Metrocade

  • CMW BREWERY 4824 East Cesar Chavez Street Austin, TX, 78702 United States (map)

Metrocade is a power funk, genre-bending quartet that is quickly getting noticed for their knack of capturing the attention of both songwriter/pop crowds and jazz-fusion nerds alike. Dave (Brisbane, Australia), Ry (Minneapolis, Minnesota), Marcell (Lafayette, Louisiana) and Marshall (pretty much a German) each moved to the creative hotspot of Austin, Texas in search of fresh collaborations. After many late nights of scoping out the scene and Instagram stalking, they found each other and began clocking up serious hours playing around town as Dave Orr Band, secretly crowd-testing the new tunes their chemistry produced. As the musical Ven diagram came together, Metrocade was born and the group began recording their debut EP at the legendary BUD’S studio with producer/engineer, Sam Patlove.
